WOW air offers budget-friendly non-stop flights to Reykjavik from Washington, D.C. (BWI), Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX).

On top of the base fare, there are added fees for seat assignments, large carry-on baggage, checked baggage and food / beverages.

Icelandair offers non-stop flights to Reykjavik from Washington, D.C (IAD), New York (JFK), Newark (EWR), Seattle (SEA), Boston (BOS), and Chicago (ORD).

Downtown Reykjavik is ~45 mins from Keflavík International Airport (KEF). For ~$25 you can hop on the Flybus shuttle. But The Blue Lagoon is close to the airport so you may want to check that out before coming into downtown (pre-booking is required).

If you are planning to spend a couple extra days in Iceland exploring the natural beauty, we recommend you rent a car (from KEF or downtown Reykjavik). GPS and portable WiFi are available for rent from most rental car agencies to help you navigate. If you prefer not to rent a car, there are countless tour operators in Iceland who will gladly take your money.
